The Problem with Your Factory Hose

The OEM rubber upper radiator hose is engineered to a price point. Heat cycling, coolant chemistry, and age cause it to stiffen, swell, and eventually crack. On the 2010-2011 Camaro and Caprice PPV, the T-style design adds another vulnerability: routing coolant through the factory oil cooler creates a built-in weak point.

This hose is also required for deleting the factory water to oil cooler on the 2010-2011 Camaro and 2011-2017 Caprice PPV.
